Oddities

There have been reports of a Russian bootleg of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, which has been dubbed into French.

A Spanish Buckaroo Banzai? According to Shawn Taylor : "Calling all Blue Blaze Irregulars in the Southern California area... My friend recently sent me a pirate "Spanish" Buckaroo Banzai video she purchased somewhere in east LA at a Mexican video store. It came in a black plastic box with a very poorly copied cover insert with a cut and pasted looking Spanish title. The tape inside doesn't even have a label, and is not in Spanish, but it is absolutely the BEST copy of the movie I've found! It's much better than my old official release copy. Looks and sounds wonderful. I haven't had time to watch it all the way through yet, but I'm hoping it's this good all the way through. I've asked her to forward the name and address of the video store (and send me an extra copy!). Meanwhile, be on the look out..."
